Frequently asked questions
What can I expect from counseling?
Counseling is a collaborative process between the client and a trained professional. In your first few sessions, you may spend time exploring your background and past experiences while building basic skills to address your primary concerns. Your counselor will ask questions and help summarize your experiences to better understand your root emotions and behaviors while fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.
How long will I be in counseling?
The duration of counseling depends on the amount and intensity of your concerns. Some clients receive short-term support for specific issues or life transitions, while others feel the benefit from long-term, regular appointments.
Weekly sessions are advised when first beginning counseling with a new clinician, and frequency of appointments can vary over time based on progress and daily functioning.
Sessions are booked in 60-minute blocks and take 53 minutes, including billing and scheduling follow up appointments.
How much do sessions cost?

Anthem
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Carelon Behavioral Health
